About us
Firstly, to introduce ourselves, we are Vicki and Per Christensen. Per is Danish, and I am Maltese.
We have lived and worked in Denmark, Malta and finally London for a number of years before finally realising our dream to move to Italy. After many holidays in Italy searching high and low we bought our beautiful house in 2011 and spent 4 years renovating the old ruin into our home and eventually moved here in 2015.
Per loves the freedom of working in the open air, either on our land where we have planted over 150 new hazelnut trees or in our garden while my life involves the running of the B&B, cooking, baking and reading in the company of our little cats, Georgina and Harry.
What does "Cascina Raggio di Sole" mean?
When Per and I left Denmark, we sold all we owned and bought a sailing boat which we named "Sunray". We spent 3 years living aboard, cruising the waterways of Europe and eventually the Mediterranean Sea hence the name of our house is “Cascina Raggio di Sole” which is a direct translation from Sunray to Italian.
